An Intercessory Ministry
In November of 2016 God gave me a vision regarding America. Using my gift as an artist, I created the image that you see above. This image is a photograph of the original 3" x 4" board. God said to me "America shall be saved. America shall be washed in the blood of Jesus Christ." He told me to decree over America "I will give to you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove from you a heart of stone and give to you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26 EXPLANATION OF THE IMAGE The heart of America is not dead. It is partly hardened and frozen. There are two halves of the heart which depict that there is a war for our hearts. Satan wants our hearts to be full of hatred toward God and one another. God wants our hearts to be filled with love for Him and for one another. The fire represents the fire of God's love, which is going to sweep across America, and melt the heart of America, causing it to beat with love for Him and for one another. PRAYER Pour out Your Spirit Lord. Turn our faces back to You and heal our land. Forgive us of our rebellion. May we hear Your voice and harden not our hearts. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Open our blind eyes and deaf ears. Cause our hearts to be open and soft, so we will turn back to You and You will heal our land. Prayer based on the following verses: Acts 2:17; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Hebrews 3:7; Psalm 51:10; Acts 28:27 DECREE I decree over America, God is going to give to you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. He will remove from you a heart of stone and give to you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 NIV Israel Shall Be SavedIn January of 2022, while in prayer, I felt God put it on my heart to create a new image based on the U.S. map vision, but for the nation of Israel. In addition, God burdened my heart to pray for Israel and He did this through various means. For instance, God spoke to me through a dream in which I was pregnant with 2 babies; one that was much bigger than the other. Also, one day during my morning prayer I felt God speak to me after reading the verse from Psalm 2:8, "Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance." Suddenly, a prayer came from my lips to God, "Give me America and Israel." These are just a few examples of ways that God has burdened my heart to intercede for Israel. DECREE I decree over Israel, God is going to give to you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. He will remove from you a heart of stone and give to you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 NIV PRAYER Father, You are the God of Israel and they are Your people. You named them though they did not know You. Lord, cleanse them from their iniquities and pardon all of their sins. Save them with an everlasting salvation. Raise them up in righteousness and direct all of their ways. Redeem Israel out of all of their troubles. Be a shelter for Your people and the strength of the children of Israel. Bring health and healing to them and to their land, revealing to them Your abundance of peace and truth. Let the eyes of their understanding be enlightened. Give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let Israel be to You a name of praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth. Proclaiming all the good You do for them and causing fear and trembling among the nations because of all the goodness and prosperity You provide for it. Restore everything that has been removed from them. Send them grain and new wine and oil to satisfy them. Make their enemies to be at peace with them and no longer let them be a reproach among the nations. Seek out Your sheep and deliver them from the peoples and countries where they were scattered and bring them to their own land. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper who love you. Lord, cause their enemies to cease from the land. Make them and the places all around Jerusalem a blessing and cause showers of blessings to come down in their seasons. Let Your people dwell safely in their land, delivered from trouble from all the kingdoms of the earth. * Every line of prayer is from scripture. * Author unknown. Dear Jesus, let us remember Your words, "The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life," and that if we do this we will remain in You and You in us. This is our desire because we know that we cannot bear fruit for the Kingdom without being connected to You, the vine. You are the vine and we are the branches. When we share in holy communion, we are drinking of the fruit of the vine. You said, "I will not drink of the fruit of the vine again, until that day when I drink it, new, in the kingdom of God." Dear Jesus, before You were handed over to die, You left Your followers a gift, the gift of holy communion. You said, "as often as You do this, do it in memory of me." It was an act that was meant to be shared amongst the family of God through the generations and to unite the family of God with You and with each other. The apostle Paul said, "Since there is one loaf, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf." Jesus, open the eyes and hearts of Your followers to the importance of sharing holy communion together and may we do it often. Dear Jesus, remind us to come to the communion table to receive You with the right heart attitude; a heart that is contrite and reconciled to You and others. And then would You manifest Yourself in the breaking of the bread as You did with the 2 men You met on the road to Emmaus? Help us to experience You in a meaningful and powerful way. Dear Jesus, You said that the blood of the covenant was to be poured out for the forgiveness of sins. As we drink of the cup in holy communion, would You wash us clean from all our sins? We thank You for taking the burden of our sins from us so that we can walk through this journey filled with Your peace and joy and we look forward to the day when we will drink of the fruit of the vine with You in the Kingdom of heaven. Amen. RI Capitol Prayer Gathering #dontmesswithourkids April 13 2024 There is a fierce, fiery, and fearless remnant in Rhode Island. "She" will walk in her God-given destiny as a symbol of HOPE for this nation of America. As I went off to bed on the eve of the RI Capitol prayer gathering, I had second thoughts and turned around to head to my prayer room. I just could not sleep because I had too much excitement in my spirit due to all that God had done earlier in the day! I sat down on my favorite sofa, turned on some worship music and proceeded to worship God which caused happy tears to roll down my face. My happy tears weren't because all was peaceful and joyful and everything went as hoped. The event was a showdown. A battle between God's army and Satan's army; between good and bad; right and wrong; love and hate. God prepared me ahead of time in the spiritual sense. He gave me 2 dreams in the weeks prior. In the first dream... I was a leader of a group of people. Then a group of witches and satanists infiltrated in the midst of our group. I said to my group, "Let them stay." In the final scene I yelled "God's power trumps Satan's power!" In the second dream... I was standing right in front of 2 satanists who were facing me and a person that stood on my right side, who was with me. I felt in my spirit to fight the spirit of fear and so I looked straight into their eyes. Then one of the satanists asked the person to my right, "What is your name?" He shouted his response in the satanist's face, "Lion of Judah!" It was God's plan to let the 20 or so opposers stay. The majority of the opposers were clearly people who identify as trans but instead of peacefully engaging the Christ-followers in civil conversations, they were loud, rebellious, and aggressive. In addition, there were 2 satanists who came and stood right in the center of our peaceful group and lastly there were 2 lost and confused disrupters who are regulars at every Christian event at the Capitol. It now became clear to me why God put it in my heart to play a song at the start of the gathering entitled "By Our Love" by For King and Country. The lyrics repeatedly state "They will know we are Christians by our love." The other theme in the song is of unity, as it repeats these words throughout, "We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord." It is important for the Body of Christ to model God's love toward each other and by this the world will desire to know the God of love whom we serve. I am so grateful that I did witness love and unity amongst the Christian group. We had a wonderful group filled with diversity; men and women; young and old; black, white and hispanic; Catholics, Baptists, Evangelicals and Pentecostals. The opposers did everything they could to disrupt our peaceful gathering by shouting through a bull horn, playing satanic songs on a large boom box, banging a drum, ringing a bell, and shouting inflammatory remarks. I truly believe that it was God's intention to draw these lost and broken ones into His family and to use His church to be the example of love with which to draw them. I gather this from my 2 dreams, but also from what happened as I approached the Capitol in my car. I was worshipping Jesus with my team and then suddenly I felt God's tangible presence. I began to weep and said, "Souls for the Kingdom. Souls for the Kingdom." Jesus said He came for the sinner and He instructed us to love those who hate us and pray for those who persecute us. Hate is what we felt from the opposers but the leaders who took the microphone encouraged the Christ-followers not to retaliate. One leader led us in a song which we directed toward the opposers... "Jesus loves you this we know, for the Bible tells us so." Another leader shared that he felt that many of them were abused and this led our group to view them with compassion instead of bitterness. My husband thanked the host of the event because he exercised great patience with the opposers, and we know that patience is a manifestation of love. One of the prayer leaders texted me after the event and told me that she had an interaction with one of the opposers. She looked into the eyes of a girl's masked face and told her several times that Jesus loved her. This brought tears to the girl's eyes which then led her to quickly cover her face with the sign she held in her hands. Referring back to my dream of meeting 2 satanists... I actually met 2 satanists at the gathering. I noticed immediately when the 2 satanists arrived and stood about 8 feet from me. I quickly walked over to the apparent trans men who were built like football players and wore bandannas over their faces like robbers from the Wild West. I extended my hand to each one while looking them square in the eyes and showing them a big warm smile. I said to each one "Welcome." They each surprisingly shook my hand and looked me square in the eyes. I never saw them again. They obviously left shortly after our meeting. I think the Lion of Judah had something to do with that! I had another love encounter with the leader of the pair of confused opposers. I really don't have any other way of how to describe this pair who show up at every Capitol prayer gathering. They appear to be confused and lacking in common sense and civil behavior and all the while they act innocent of any ill will. The leader and I go way back as we went to the same church decades ago. From that place of familiarity I pulled on her heart strings and asked her to please stop playing her very loud boom box because hers was drowning out my music that I was playing for the gathering. She immediately went and put it away in her car. She returned to the gathering and the next time I noticed her, she was swaying with eyes closed to our Christian music. I was filled with love for her and so I went over and took her hand and we swayed to the music together. I know without a doubt that the fearless love I displayed that day was because of the love of Jesus inside of me. One of the reasons why I chose to worship God on the eve of the gathering instead of going to sleep is because I knew that He was the one that made me fearless. But it wasn't just with me! My 25 year old son who attended the event and prayed a prayer for the youth shared with me before going to sleep. He said "At the beginning I was afraid. I never experienced anything like that before. But then I just closed my eyes and sang along to the worship music and suddenly I felt God's presence in a way that I've never felt before." He then said from that point on, for the following 2 hours, he was so happy, even though the opposers continued with their rage until the end. While at the gathering, in the midst of the battle, I looked around and was so proud to see the fearless remnant of God who didn't run away from the rain, the unseasonably frigid temperatures, or the fierce winds. Nor did they run away from the loud and obnoxious opposers who made it extremely difficult to hear the speakers and the music, not to mention, to pray to God. Our group of Christ-followers bore the resemblance of Gideon and his small army. Gideon had fear when God called him to fight but God filled him and his army with confidence; the confidence that comes from knowing that you have a mighty God going before you. I wish to exhort the Body of Christ. There is a war for our hearts! Satan wants our hearts to be filled with hatred toward God and toward one another. God wants our hearts to be filled with love for Him and for one another, the saved and unsaved. Satan wants us to harden our hearts in response to when others hurt us or hate on us but God wants us to keep our hearts soft and open to loving others including those who hurt and hate us. We must behave as true Christ-followers which means that we are to pick up our cross and follow in Jesus' footsteps. LOVE trumps HATE. LOVE trumps FEAR. GOD'S POWER trumps SATAN'S POWER. Rhode Island's motto is HOPE. Her flag has an anchor and the word HOPE. "Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls." Hebrews 6:18-19 Click video below for a recap of the RI Capitol gathering. "Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place." Galatians 3:13 As Christ-followers we pray with confidence knowing that we possess the authority in the name of Jesus to break curses released against us, whether they are generational, sent by self-professed witches and Satanists, or in negative words spoken against us. Our confidence is based on God's Word. In Galatians 3:13-14 it states, "Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: 'Everyone who is hung upon a tree is cursed.' Jesus Christ dissolved the curse from our lives, so that in him all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon Gentiles." In Malachi 2:2, it states, "I will curse your blessings; yes, I have already turned them to curses because you did not lay it to heart." According to this verse, God has the power to reverse blessings. In Numbers 23:20, it reveals that Balaam could not curse those whom God blessed. These 2 verses show us that God holds the ultimate power and authority to release and to reverse blessings and curses. Satan and his minions do not hold the same power. The Christ-follower who has been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, and who walks in his or her authority, has power to break curses and power to bless. Based on this Biblical truth, we pray. * In the name of Jesus Christ, we break curses released against our families, including, us, our parents, siblings, spouses, children, and grandchildren. According to 1 John 3:8, Jesus was made manifest so to undo the works of the devil. Thank you Jesus for destroying the works of the devil in our families and for releasing blessing in exchange. * In the name of Jesus Christ, we break curses off of our neighborhoods. Wherever there has been a curse of death released, we pray that it be broken and that the Resurrection life of Christ be released. * In the name of Jesus Christ, we break curses off of our church families. According to Isaiah 54:17, no weapon formed against us can prosper and every tongue that accuses us shall be condemned, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Thank you Jesus for the inheritance that is ours as Christ-followers. Thank you for releasing blessing over our church families. * Lord Jesus, we pray for our ministries, whether faith-based or in the work place. In Proverbs 26:2 it states, "Like a swallow in its flight, a curse uncalled for, arrives nowhere." We profess in the name of Jesus, no curse released against our ministries will hit its mark. Jesus became a curse for us when He hung on a tree, in order that we receive blessings, not curses. Our ministries are blessed in Jesus' name. * Lord Jesus, we pray for our generational bloodlines. We stand in the place of our forefathers who sinned against You, and we ask You to forgive them, for they knew not what they did. We ask that You cleanse our mothers' and fathers' bloodlines from generational curses with Your Blood. We profess that our generations and those to come are pure and holy. In Numbers 6:24-26, God gave a prayer of blessing for the priest Aaron to speak over the Israelites. I would like to release this blessing over you, your families, neighborhoods, church families, ministries and your generations. "May the Lord bless you. May the Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace." "Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest." Psalm 126:5-6 NLT My tears are my prayers. My tears are my fast. My tears are my sacrifice. When I travail, it's a scene of blood, sweat and tears. When I am travailing, it's as if my heart is bleeding. All of my energy is poured out, just like my tears, which form a puddle on the floor. Paul stated, "But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all" (Philippians 2:17). At times my tears are for the harvest of souls. At other times my tears cleanse and wash away defilements of the enemy. Those who see me in a prayer gathering or church service might ask themselves, "Why is she always crying?!" I've learned that people who've witnessed me crying prayed for me, thinking that I must be grieving the loss of a loved one, or perhaps something horrible happened, such as my house burnt down. But the majority of the time, I am weeping because God has given me the burden that is in His heart. Sometimes, God's heart is weeping for his daughters who are held captive in the sex trade. Other times, He has me weep tears of repentance, such as for pastors who have lost their way and who are leading the sheep astray. Sometimes God breaks my heart for His prodigal children and other times for the salvation of souls. King David was a man that felt deep compassion for others. In Psalm 35:13-14 we read, "When they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting, And my prayer kept returning to my bosom. I went about as though it were my friend or brother; I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for a mother." The Bible also tells us in several places that Jesus wept, showing His deep compassion for the lost, the sick, the dying or dead. In the book of Hebrews it states, “He offered prayers with loud cries and tears" (Hebrews 5:7). Travailing prayer births the purposes of God. The vessel of travail births something in the realm of the Spirit. God wants to birth His purposes through us--His hands and feet. Intercessor Lou Engle states in his book "Digging the Wells of Revival," “Whenever we see this travail, we can be assured that great spiritual events are just ahead. Something is being birthed in the realm of the Spirit.” God wants someone to share His heart. In the Bible we see that God frequently revealed His heart to the prophets. He did this because He chose to use them as His voice to warn others and also to urge them to pray so that change would come about. Jeremiah is one of these prophets and he is known as “the weeping prophet” because he shed so many tears over the sins of his people. In Jeremiah we read, “Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them. Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids” (Jeremiah 9:17,18). The following list of Fathers of the Faith are just a few that came to learn of the power of travailing prayer and have taught on it...Rees Howells, Daniel Nash, Leonard Ravenhill, Frank Bartelman, Paul Cain, Lou Engle, and Mario Murillo. In Leonard Ravenhill's book "Prevailing Prince of Prayer" he shares how Daniel Nash would become bedridden from extensive amounts of travail. Nash's prayers led to the great harvest of souls that were won through Charles Finney. Also found in Ravenhill's book is this quote, “It was the praying men who held the ropes, the tears they shed; the groans they uttered are written in the chronicles of the things of God.” Revivalist Mario Marillo stated, “When Elijah prayed for rain, he literally assumed the position the Jewish women assumed in order to give birth. 'So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his head between his knees'" (1 Kings 18:42). Lou Engle comments on that story in his book by saying, "Elijah had the prophetic word of the Lord that it was going to rain, yet he still needed to birth the rain in prayer." In the book of Joel we read, “Let the priests who minister to the Lord weep between the porch and the altar" (Joel 2:15). Intercessors of today are similar to the priests in the Old Testament. An intercessor identifies with the people of his nation and offers prayer on their behalf. We learn in the Bible that even Jesus is an intercessor. In Hebrews it states, "He always lives to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25). In Romans we read, “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans (cries). And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” (Romans 8:26,27). I'd like to encourage my fellow intercessors to say yes to God if He chooses to give you the gift of travailing prayer-the gift of tears. Don't run away from this gift or try to pretend you aren't hearing Him correctly. Just say "Yes God!" "Thank you God for the gift of travail. Thank you for trusting me enough to carry this gift and to use it for Your glory and for Your Kingdom purposes!" “Intercessory prayer is God’s ordained way of allowing us the privilege of co-laboring with Him." Corey Russell, from his book "Gift of Tears."
