 Image via Wikipedia cc "Don't stop doing what you're doing!"I'd like to encourage intercessors with this true story that was shared with me regarding a prophetic dream that was given to a non-believer whom an intercessor was praying, warring, and heavily burdened for. The non-believer told the intercessor of his dream: "I saw you and you were walking. You were carrying things on your shoulders, like trash and layers of junk. But I could tell it was heavy. Your arms were stretched out so far that your fingertips could barely reach the edges of what you were carrying. I ran to you and told you to let me help, but you said no. I kept trying to stop you. I kept asking you to let me help. I was right in front of you. But you kept looking forward. You never stopped walking. You were just walking at a steady pace. You never stopped no matter how much I tried to get you to. Every time I tried to reach out and help you, I was stopped by something between us. I couldn't even touch you. I was so worried you were going to hurt yourself. I asked you where all this stuff came from. You looked at me and said "It came from you." I felt so terrible. And again I asked you to let me help but you just kept walking. I asked you where you were going. You said, "I'm taking this to God." I knew then that I had to step out of your way. As I stepped back and you walked by, I saw it. I saw Jesus behind you and He was holding your hands up. He was right there with you. I watched you. You walked into a light. I watched you bend down and set everything down. You stood up with nothing on you. Then I woke up." He then told the intercessor, "Don't stop doing what you're doing! You have so many to help. So many to carry burdens for. I'm so sorry I tried to stop you. You saved my life. I swear, you must be an angel. I am so thankful for you. I am alive today because you carried my burdens to God. I don't know why I can't carry them myself, but I want to learn how. I can't say it enough. Thank you! Thank you for being you. Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for letting God use you. You are such a light and blessing. Keep doing what you do." “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear." |
