An Intercessory Ministry
"I have but one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness than in a land flooded with light." John Keith Falconer Scottish Missionary Maliz Ong via Public Domain Pictures cc "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” John 12:36The 2018-2019 legislative session has just closed in our nation's government. In some states we saw victories such as laws that were passed to make it illegal to abort or kill an unborn baby after a heartbeat has been detected. But in my region of the Northeast we saw defeat. In 3 out of 7 states, laws were passed that made it legal to kill an unborn baby right up to the delivery date. Many believers who prayed and fought for the unborn's rights in those 3 states of New York, Vermont and Rhode Island had their hopes dashed. Things got darker in this small corner of the US. BUT GOD! As believers, our hope is never lost as long as we cling to Jesus Christ, the anchor of our soul (Hebrews 6:19). Two thousand years ago Satan thought he won when Jesus breathed His last breath on the cross. BUT GOD! The Bible tells us that Jesus rose on the third day in power and glory. Before Jesus gave Himself up to be crucified, He left us this word of hope, "unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit." We have seen death in America. But the Word of God says, "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?...thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:55, 57). Let's fix our eyes on Jesus who is LIFE and LIGHT. We need not focus on death and the works of the devil. We need to fix our eyes on the One who overcame death; the One who made it possible for Peter to walk on water...as long as his eyes were fixed on Jesus! I want to encourage my fellow believers in America and in particular, my region of the Northeast, because it is known for being the darkest, driest, coldest and deadest region... Where it is the darkest, light shines the brightest. Where it is the driest, fire spreads the fastest. Where the fire is raging, is the place that is the hottest. Where it is the deadest, is the greatest fruit of Resurrection Life. Lastly, I want to share what I heard God say to me while in the RI state capital building fighting for the lives of the unborn. God gave me a message of hope. He led me to Isaiah 9 which speaks of "a great light." Let's pray it now over America, and the Northeast. PRAYER FOR AMERICA AND THE NORTHEAST REGION "The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them. You shall multiply the nation; you shall increase their gladness. They will be glad in Your presence as with the gladness of harvest; as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders; the rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, and cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace; on the throne of David and over his kingdom; to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this." DECREE I decree the Light of Christ will rise and shine over America and the Northeast Region and the people of God will let their light shine for the whole world to see.
