Tony Melena via Public Domain Pictures cc "and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel." Hebrews 12:24 God is highlighting this famous quote that has been passed down in America..."Freedom isn't free." Wikipedia gives an explanation of where this term originated and its meaning. "The idiom expresses gratitude for the service of members of the military, implicitly stating that the freedoms enjoyed by many citizens in many democracies are possible only through the risks taken and sacrifices made by those in the military, drafted or not. The saying is often used to convey respect specifically to those who have given their lives in defense of freedom." God is reminding us that Jesus shed His blood on the cross so that America can be free. The blood of Jesus has power to save, heal and deliver. Yes, America has been behaving like Gomer, found in the book of Hosea. My nation, like Israel in the days of the prophet Hosea, has been like a harlot. But God told Hosea to buy his unfaithful wife back. In chapter three, we read, "Then the Lord said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by her husband, yet an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.” So I bought her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a half of barley" (Hosea 3:1-2). I believe that the power of the blood of Jesus Christ is enough to save America from her sinful nature; to heal her hardened, broken heart; and to deliver her from her enemies. America has been bought with the precious, saving blood of the Lamb. His blood is enough! I believe that not only will America be saved, but she will become a spotless bride prepared to meet her Bridegroom. I hear God saying to America, “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion, And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord" (Hosea 2:19-10). Watch this small, heartfelt scene from the movie "Amazing Love." It portrays the love of God for His unfaithful spouse. Hosea and Gomer F. Holland Day via Picryl (modified) And I hear the savior say Thy strength indeed is small Child of weakness, watch and pray Find in me thine all in all 'Cause Jesus paid it all All to Him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow Lord, now indeed I find Thy power and thine alone Can change the leper's spots And melt the heart of stone 'Cause Jesus paid it all All to Him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow It's white as snow, white as snow It's washed away, it's white as snow And when before the throne I stand in Him complete Jesus died my soul to save My lips shall still repeat 'Cause Jesus paid it all All to Him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow DECREES I decree the blood of Jesus Christ has paid the debt for America's freedom. I decree the blood of Jesus Christ will bring salvation, healing, and deliverance to America. I decree America will be washed in the blood of Jesus, and be made ready as a pure Bride to meet her Bridegroom. |
