An Intercessory Ministry
Legacy Church RI baptized 93 people on August 27, 2025 at Rocky Point Park, Warwick, RI. "We have this hope as an anchor of the soul." Hebrews 6:19 It was 2013. I was just beginning to walk in my God-given destiny as an intercessor. While in prayer, I heard God tell me to go to the food court inside the Warwick Mall, in the city of Warwick, Rhode Island. I asked others to go with me, but found no one, so I went alone, with the promise from my pastors that they would cover me in prayer. I walked around the giant food court with its 2-story glass ceiling, praying and listening to my Lord. I had done this for about an hour and then decided to take a seat. While sitting, I saw an open vision of a giant wave. It came from the right side of the food court and its height reached the ceiling. Selah. I didn’t hear anything or see anything else. Minutes later, I saw a guy whom I knew so I went over to say hello. While we talked, he took out his phone and I noticed the image on his screen. It was an animated picture of a giant wave! One of the prophetic meanings of a wave is a mighty move of God. This is something that I have longed to see in my state. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island 58 years ago, born-again at age 16, filled with the Holy Spirit at age 22, and have interceded for my state and contended to see revival and reformation for the past 12 years. A few years ago, while attending a National Day of Prayer gathering at my Capitol building, I suddenly remembered standing on the Capitol steps as a 10-year-old Girl Scout and holding the RI state flag with it’s image of an anchor and its motto of HOPE. Twice I moved out of RI only to move right back within a short period of time. I’ve come to realize that I was created to intercede for my beloved Little Rhody. This is my destiny. Two days ago, I received the fruit of my prayers! On August 27th, 2025, I witnessed 93 people get baptized in the ocean at Rocky Point Park, a place that my family frequented in my childhood years. Rocky Point is located in Warwick. My church, Legacy Church RI, is located in Warwick. The friend whom I saw in the food court is a current member of Legacy Church. At the time of the vision I was in a different church and Legacy Church was in a different city. Since, they’ve moved to 2 other cities, landing them in Warwick, the same city where my vision took place. Only today had it become clear to me why God told me to go to Warwick Mall, where He gave me the vision of a giant wave. The vision from 2013 was meant for now. Two weeks prior to the baptism, I spent some time praying at the new Legacy Church building and this is what I heard in my spirit: “I see the city of Warwick coming back to life. I hear the sound of awakening.” I shared this with our senior pastor, Ron Termale, also a native of RI and contending for revival. Two days ago, as I drove to the baptism, I saw a license plate on the car in front of me that read WAVE33. The number 3 is symbolic for the Trinity─the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and also of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. I knew when I saw this license plate that God was speaking to me. It also made me think of a song that I have been listening to as of late. Its title is Another Wave, and it's sung by Lindy Coffer. The lyrics explain exactly what God is presently doing in my state. “Here comes another wave of revival. Can you feel the earth shaking? The time has now begun…Ready or not, here I come. Nations will be swept up, souls will be won. I've heard My people cry, ‘Someone come save us’…Here comes another wave.” As I continued to drive to the baptism and reached the city of Warwick, I witnessed a rainbow in the sky. Tears immediately began flowing because I knew that God was speaking to me once again. The rainbow’s symbolic meaning is that God is faithful to His promises. I felt that God was saying to me: “I told you there would be a move of God. It is here.” I have seen God move in RI through my church in the past several years and I have rejoiced in that, but I now realize that what we experienced then was only the beginning. In 2022 and 2023, our quarterly baptisms averaged approximately 20 people. Last year, in 2024, we baptized 45 people, then 55, and then 23, all within a span of 10 months. It just keeps getting better and better. ~~~~~~~ I stood on the beach, grinning from ear to ear, taking as many photos as time allowed. I couldn’t get enough of capturing the joy on the faces of the newly baptized. I saw brown faces, black faces and white faces. I saw innocent faces of children, youthful faces of Gen Z(ers), mature faces of parents and wise faces of grandparents. The one thing they all had in common was joy. The joy that comes from being freed from the heavy weight of sin; the joy that comes from feeling clean, fresh and new; the joy that one experiences when they become dead to sin and alive in Christ. At one point in the evening, I leaned over to speak to my friend and intercessor; one who has spent years praying for our state and her resident city of Warwick, and said, “Prayer changes things.” She looked back at me with a huge grin because we were receiving the fruit of our prayers. I was happily surprised to see certain people that I knew getting baptized. There was a new church member whom I have been discipling since she arrived at our church. I greeted her with a huge hug and congratulated her. She told me that she came all by herself, without family or friends to share in her special moment. Later, she told me that she was happy to see a familiar face and to receive the pictures that I took of her while getting baptized. I witnessed the joy on the face of my friend who saw the fruit of her prayers because her 13-year-old son got baptized. My favorite one was of a young woman who came out of the water with a huge smile on her face. She then walked to the shore with tears streaming from her eyes. Midway she stopped, looked up, and then placed her hands together as one does in a prayer. She took a few more steps before dropping to her knees and bowing her head. She then held out her hands and appeared to pray a silent prayer. I sensed that she was overwhelmed with gratitude because she had the realization of the mercy and love of God. After the 93 were baptized, I noticed the sun just going down over the horizon. My attention went towards God. I lifted my hands toward heaven and prayed, “Alleluia! Glory to God! Lord Jesus, You are mighty! You are awesome! We thank you. We love you!” Following my prayer, I went home but could not sleep for hours because my spirit was still dancing for joy and singing the Lord’s praises. Today, I just couldn’t keep quiet. I had to tell about the marvels of God. I hope that this brings the reader joy and increases faith to believe that if you pray and contend for revival, you will see it. Don’t give up. God is faithful to His promises. Afternote I am grateful that my family has been blessed by the Legacy Church family and I’d like to give honor to Apostle Steve and Nancy Boyce, founders of the New Life Church Family, with 5 campuses located in RI and MA. I’d also like to give honor to our Legacy Church senior pastors Ron and Lori Termale; our assistant pastors Jared and Natalie Burrows and Josh and Christiana Boyce, and our beloved youth pastors Davy and Jenny DaSilva. They are carriers of the fire of God, contending and sacrificing their lives in order to see revival in our state of Rhode Island. Thank you and may God bless you.
