An Intercessory Ministry
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul..." Hebrews 6:19 Image via Wikipedia cc "Arise, shine! Your light has come! And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." Isaiah 60:1-3 NASB For decades the Northeast has been considered a cold and dark region, one where traveling leaders in the Church dared not go. But I am here to profess, those days are over! The season of winter is past. Spring is here! The warmth and light of Jesus Christ is shining over the Northeast, melting the coldness with His holy fire and dispelling darkness with His radiant light. The Holy Spirit has been pouring out His healing rain upon the hard, fallow ground; softening and tilling it; preparing it for harvest. It is harvest time in the Northeast. Just this past month in May, the Northeast witnessed a wonderful harvest of souls, when the world renown evangelist Franklin Graham brought a 2-week crusade entitled Decision America Northeast Tour. I was fortunate to be a prayer counselor for the RI crusade and while at the pre-prayer gathering, learned that Franklin only does 2 tours each year, and this year He felt that God put a burden on his heart to visit the Northeast. God has heard the prayers of the faithful in the Northeast. He has seen your tears and your sacrifices. God in His mercy and love, has reached down to us. Evidence of His response to the prayers of the saints was the Franklin Graham crusade. Have you prayed for fruit? Here is fruit. Have you prayed for a harvest? Here is a harvest. In Portland, Maine, 4,300 people left their homes and their cities to respond to the tug of God on their hearts. In Burlington, Vermont, God drew 3,400 people to Himself. Jesus said before He was crucified and resurrected, "If I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself." (John 12:32) In Manchester, New Hampshire, He drew 4,300 people and in Springfield, Massachusetts He drew 5,600. In East Providence, Rhode Island He drew 4,100 people and in neighboring Bridgeport, Connecticut He drew 3,600. The final stop of the crusade in Syracuse, New York, drew the largest crowd of 6,400. A total of 31,000 people gathered together in unity during this historic, momentous occasion where God's mercy and grace were manifested. 31,000 people heard the simple and unadulterated Gospel preached. 31,000 people united together in worship under the stars.* In this atmosphere, created by the prayers of the faithful, God's mercy and love broke through. God's grace and glory fell. Hearts melted. Hearts surrendered. Hearts opened to receive the Savior, Jesus Christ. At each crusade, hundreds stood up and raised their hands as a sign that they acknowledged the need of a Savior. As prayer counselors (God's hands and feet) came along side these surrendered ones, they witnessed tears rolling down faces and heard words of repentance. They welcomed each one into the family of God. Some of these surrendered hearts were prodigals. Some admitted to being a Christian and attending weekly church services, but were knowingly living in sin. They repented of their sins and recommitted their lives to Jesus Christ. HOPE is the message I am carrying and professing. HOPE is the motto on the Rhode Island state flag. It's symbol is that of an anchor. God's Word says "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul." (Hebrews 6:19) There are so many of the faithful who have been and continue to pray and "plow" the fields. You may not see them, so you do not have knowledge of them. But they are there and God sees them. Each single person praying alone in his or her home, God sees. Each small group praying together in the night hours, God sees. Each small team of prophetic intercessors obeying God's assignments, God sees. God is responding. "I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2) So get ready! Each person carries a flame. Each group carries a larger flame. Fire spreads and burns everything it touches. The fire of God is going to spread across the Northeast like a wild fire. If you are in the Northeast, get ready to burn. Every thing and every person will burn in God's holy fire. Hearts will ignite with the fire of God's love. Chains will melt. Churches will be purified. The Northeast will be made holy and set apart for God. And God will be glorified. It is all for the glory of the Father and of the Son, Jesus Christ. *Statistics from the Billy Graham Association. www.billygraham.org DECREE I decree over the Northeast, you will arise and shine! The Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you and nations will come to your light. Isaiah 60:1-3 NASB
